We use an agile process with test-driven development and set up regular retrospectives to figure out what we're doing wrong so we can fix it, and what we're doing right so we can improve on it. We have regular deployments (sometimes multiple releases per week) which ensures you will mix in small projects and challenging, complex ones as well. What You Will Do

• Execute full lifecycle software development
• Frequent deploys to production
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
• Participate in product planning sessions
• Work closely with product management to identify business requirements and functionality
• Mentor other team members
• Demonstrate best practices and industry standards
• Participate in regular retrospectives
• All other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Who You Are

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong knowledge of software development principles
• Comfortable with microservices architecture and cloud systems
• Ruby/Rails knowledge and/or AWS experience is a strong plus
• Very comfortable with OO Design Principles
• Experience in test-first development and/or web front-end development is a plus (JavaScript, client-side MVC frameworks)
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Passion for learning, tackling interesting work and challenging problems
• Exudes the “TruHearing DNA” which includes being energetic, passionate, empathetic, and mission-driven
• Team player that is self-motivated, persistent, and proactive in driving results but can be creative and flexible in overcoming obstacles
